FLOW – Faithfully Living Out the Word
Throughout the summer and sabbatical months, our congregation was invited to relect on the word/them “GROW”. Members were invited to add their thoughts and “God sightings” to the OSLC Family Tree that was on display on the hallway bulletin board throughout the summer. Congregation members were also encouraged to take some time to complete the “Growing Our Gifts” gift inventory, as a chance to discover how their
gifts could thrive in our church family’s life.
As we enter the new programming year and fall months, our theme of “GROW” is going to turn into a theme of “FLOW” – Faithfully Living Out the Word. We will take our knowledge that we gained through our summer of reflection and discovery and put it and our talents to work! There will be many opportunities for our entire church body to participate in “faithfully living out the word” – not only in worship, but in multiple
learning and service opportunities!
Each month this fall, our entire congregation will focus on a memory verse. We will study and learn about how these special words from scripture can help us all live out our lives in FLOW! There are also multiple educational opportunities that have been designed to help us FLOW!
We will also be looking to find new ways to connect our members in interests and community so that we may begin to FLOW together. Be on the lookout for monthly FLOW posters throughout the church. These posters will list all the opportunities that will be available to our church family, to get involved, and get in the FLOW of life here at OSLC and beyond!
