Faster Pastors & Sunday September 8th News
Run Pastors Run! Friday and Saturday a team of 12 (Michael Stadtmueller, Brad Doty, Dave Jarvis, Wendy Kalen, Paul Judson, Matthew Bolz-Weber, Chad Kohlmeyer, Sonja Pancoast, Joel Pancoast, Dan Holt, Kim Gonia, Dan Smith) from the Rocky Mountain Synod are running to fight against Malaria! This team joins the Colorado Relay Ragnar Race this weekend in running from Copper to Snowmass! They run through the day and through the night and through the rain (hopefully not!) all in an effort to raise awareness and funds to fight malaria all over the globe. The ELCA Malaria Campaign website has all the information and a way to donate online! So far the ELCA has raised over 9 million dollars to combat malaria and the Faster Pastors are piece of this effort. Pastor Michael Stadtmueller, OSLC Senior Pastor, is a part of this team! You can watch Facebook for updates, just like Our Saviour’s Lutheran and you will get updates or us on twitter @oslcfc (Pastor Leta Behrens has joined the race as a volunteer for the Faster Pastor team–each team needs to provide race volunteers)
