The Purpose of Spiritual Journaling:
To gain insight into our thoughts and feelings, hopes and fears.
To find “our own deep and powerful inner compass.” (Carrie Newsom)
To set an intention and explore things we are wrestling with, dissecting the stories we tell ourselves and trying to understand why we are holding on to them.
To learn forgiveness, and to truly learn to let go of that which we cannot control.
To find “the sacred in the ordinary” – to help us understand what is most meaningful in our lives and focus on the people and things that truly matter to us.
To understand and explore our connection to and understanding of God
To help cultivate an “attitude of gratitude,” helping us to focus on the blessings we have and the blessings we have to give.
