Faith Formation is a key part of who we are and what we do. Jesus calls us to be disciples and to walk in the ways of God’s love and justice for the world. Therefore, learning in a variety of ways–ways that deepen our minds but also our hearts is a key part of Faith Formation for all ages at OSLC.
Central Place
Children are welcomed and encourage in all aspects of Christian life-fellowship, worship, learning, and serving. Each week there is a children’s word time with a Pastor or other caring adult . Children are invited and encouraged to participate in worship leadership and through our Together in Faith ministry and music ministries children do participate regularly.
OSLC Kids!
Preschool and Elementary children hold a special place at OSLC! We love to have all children with us in worship, fellowship and education. We have many times that are intergenerational and we have times set a part for just their age group.
Kids’ Club
Kids are welcome to come for activities, music, dinner, and faith learning. Wednesdays’ from 4:30-6:30pm. The last kids’ club will be April 24th.

Sunday Mornings
Sunday school meets from 9:30-10:30. Preschool gathers in the Playroom and Elementary meets in the Kid’s Room.
Milestones
Milestones are ways that we learn and celebrate together through different stages and learnings in faith development. Some are by age and some by readiness or experience. We continue to equip and encourage faith development in the home through the elementary and confirmation years of a child’s life. We offer parent-child learning opportunities at each grade level Preschool-Confirmation (8th grade).
- Communion Instruction Class at OSLC we welcome children to the table as soon as they and parents are ready. AND we offer instruction and celebration of learning about the meaning of communion as well. All ages preschool and up are welcome to the class. We recommend that by 2nd grade children have taken the class. This is a parent/caring adult and child class, please have one adult with your child/children.
