This group focuses on how to connect with community needs, raise funds for other organizations, and educate the congregation on how they can serve outside the church walls. Upcoming Pine Ridge Donations
Cold weather is on the way, and the people at Pine Ridge need our help. They are in need of warm clothing, sleeping bags and blankets, boots, and new underwear and socks. Lists of specific needs will be available in the narthex next week. Bring your donations to the Fellowship Hall or make out a check to OSLC, with “Pine Ridge” in the memo line, donate ONLINE and select “OOW Pine Ridge”, or text the amount and “Pine” to 970-500-1753
Mission to Hope Walk
Mission to Hope Walk for Homeward Alliance and the Murphy Center had gorgeous weather last Saturday for walkers to enjoy the walk from Catholic Charities overnight shelter, south past the Rescue Mission, and then ending at the Murphy Center for Hope. OSLC Team included Bill & Beth DeHaven, Richard Johnson, Madelyn Mihm, and Wes & Sharon Petersen. OSLC donors provided $1,253.90, earning us a “bronze medal” among the teams! Woody Carlson’s Mobile Laundry Team “won the gold”, raising $4,196.50. As it says on our walk t-shirts: “We Do Not Accept Homelessness” HERE are photos!
September Project – Putnam School ECO Week
Thank you to those who contributed to our Putnam ECO Week project. Because of your donations we were able to donate $3020.45 to Putnam School to help provide items needed for the fifth graders’ mountain adventure. This is a great learning experience for those students, and you have helped to make it happen! Your generosity is inspiring!
For the month of June, Outside Our Walls will focus on Birthday Gifts for Child Safe Clients
Outside Our Walls will be collecting birthday gifts for Child Safe clients and hygiene products for the high school age clients for the month of July! Child Safe has a shelf for birthday gifts for their clients so there is always something for the child to choose from on their birthday. A request also came from Child Safe that they are in need of hygiene products for their older children. There is a “Birthday Tree” on the OOW table decorated with birthday and hygiene items requested from Child Safe. Please take a tag and return the gift or hygiene item and put it in one of the brown containers by the OOW table. Money donations are always accepted and if you wish to write a check please address it to OSLC and Child Safe birthday gifts in the memo line, donate online HERE and select OOW – Child Safe from the dropdown menu, or text Child and the amount, to 970-500-1753.

Outside Our Walls Completes Service Project for National Volunteer Week
Thrivent mailed five Filter Build Kits to members of the committee, who assembled them at their May meeting. 18 water filters, enough to provide over 200 people with clean drinking water for 10 years were mailed to “Wine to Water”.
We have just completed another successful food drive. Because of your generosity, we filled 14 large boxes (totaling 400 pounds of food) for the Food Bank of Larimer County. In addition, we received $2,198.14 in cash donations. Your generosity will make a difference in our community. Thank you!!
