Music from John Micah Braswell

This week for our Spiritual Practice we are going to share with you the musical offerings of John Micah Braswell. John Micah grew up in Fort Collins. He recently graduated with a degree in piano performance from Butler University, where he was honored to perform at the Butler sponsored concert at Carnegie Hall in NYC. John Micah is currently working on his master’s degree in Collaborative Piano at the University of Southern California. He has been sharing his music from the music studio in his parent’s Fort Collins basement each evening at 6:00 P.M. which usually lasts from 10 – 20 minutes. He often shares background information on the pieces. Selections range from classical to Broadway to jazz. Sunday is for hymns.
Each day this week we will share with you one of John Micah’s videos that fits our Bible verse or theme for the day, and invite you to reflect as you listen to the hymns or songs. Maybe they can be an overture for your morning walk, contemplative music as you work, or a gentle reminder to sit and reflect at the end of your day. However you choose to use them, I pray that these hymns and songs can be a reminder of God’s presence, and how God can meet us in the beauty of music, and through one another.
